Blip is your AI travel guide inside BlipAway. This integration lets external assistants like ChatGPT or Claude securely use selected BlipAway tools on your behalf, once you've signed in to your BlipAway account.

    Connect BlipAway from a supported external AI assistant.

    Sign in securely

    Use your existing BlipAway Google or email login. Tools stay unavailable until you've signed in.

    Ask naturally

    After signing in, your assistant can use only the BlipAway tools and information your account is allowed to access.

Your external AI assistant

Your AI assistant doesn't get the keys to BlipAway.

  • Connecting doesn't open up the BlipAway database — tools are deliberately limited and read-only.
  • You can only see your own trips, after signing in to your own account.
  • Internal supplier pricing and staff notes are never shared.
  • Staff and admin controls aren't available to assistants.
  • Payment and booking confirmation remain human actions by your travel expert.
  • Disconnecting removes ongoing access, although an already active session may stay valid briefly until it expires or is revoked.

How to connect BlipAway to your AI assistant

You'll need this BlipAway connection link:

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open ChatGPT's Apps settings and turn on Developer mode (read the notice shown there). If you can't, ask your ChatGPT admin.
  2. 2Open the New plugin dialog.
  3. 3Name it "Blip Away" and paste the connection link above.
  4. 4Review the details, tick "I understand and want to continue" (ChatGPT shows this for every custom app), then click Create.
  5. 5Sign in with your BlipAway account and approve.
  6. 6Turn the app on from the chat box, then ask about your trip.

Claude

  1. 1Open Claude's custom connector form — the name and link are filled in for you.
  2. 2Review the details and click Add.
  3. 3If the form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose "Add custom connector", name it and paste the link.
  4. 4Sign in with your BlipAway account and approve.
  5. 5Turn the connector on from the chat box, then ask Claude about your trip.

Claude Code

  1. 1Run this in a terminal:
    claude mcp add --scope user --transport http blip-away 'https://www.blipaway.com/mcp'
  2. 2Start Claude Code and run /mcp, then sign in to BlipAway from that menu.
  3. 3Ask Claude Code about your trip.

Other AI assistants

  1. 1Open the assistant's connector or app settings.
  2. 2Add a new remote connection, name it "Blip Away" and paste the link.
  3. 3Finish the BlipAway sign-in and approve.
  4. 4Turn the connection on, then start asking.

Getting the latest BlipAway tools

Assistants remember the tool list. When BlipAway adds something new, refresh your connection.

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open ChatGPT's Plugins page and select Blip Away.
  2. 2Scroll to "Information" and click Refresh.
  3. 3If the link ever changes, delete the app and connect again with the new link.
  4. 4Start a new chat.

Claude

  1. 1Open the Connectors page and select Blip Away.
  2. 2Refresh or update its tools.
  3. 3If the link ever changes, remove the connector and connect again.
  4. 4Start a new chat.

Claude Code

  1. 1Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest tools.
  2. 2If the link changed, run claude mcp remove blip-away, then the install command again.

Other AI assistants

  1. 1Open the connection you created for Blip Away.
  2. 2Refresh the tool list or reconnect; paste the latest link if it changed.
  3. 3Start a new chat or session.

For the technically curious: this uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with secure OAuth sign-in.
